Who am I?:
My name is Michael Ford and I am a senior here at UMBC. I study psychology and sociology and intend to use them to help people in my community. I hope to one day inspire my three nephews to go to college and use their education to impact others as well as elevate others around them. In life, I one day aspire to help institute change which can impact the lives of hundreds of people.
Togtherness :
Pictured above is a family renioun, and it contains a large group of people coming toghether to enjoy one another. In addition this picture also explifies an aspect what i believe an American is which is being able to belong to a group and celebrate in harmony.
What is an American?:
Though it may seem like a straightfoward answer, being an American is an identity that anyone can inherit. Tradtionally people may view the idea of being an American as being someone who lives in the US. I think the defintion goes beyond that and includes the idea of people beleiving that humanity should be able to express free will and strive for the pursuit of happiness.
Hi Michael! I like what you said about being American.
